Class Time Reflection (Language Learner Characteristics/Oct.6/Week7)
As far as I observed most of students spend most of their time in the library because the library is considered to be the heart of education. If you have not got information about the opportunities and sources which you need for your academic studies, then you feel yourself like tourist who is travelling in a foreign country. Hence the presentation of Miss. Piehl was dramatically important in terms of academic success. Furthermore thanks to Rachel presentation the classroom discussion about error correction, comparing young and adult learners, the role of IQ and motivation in language learning was useful.

The other thing about the presentation that is particularly nice, is that it lets those of us who live off campus know what resources we have. There are a lot of resources available through the library that we do not need to come to campus for, this is a savings on time we can devote to research, lesson planning, family, and life. Yes, students need to use the library a lot, but I like that much of my work can be done in my own home.
I think I could benefit from seeing 3-4 more library presentations. I always learn something new. I like your analogy that visiting a library is like visiting a foreign country if you don't know how to navigate it.
